DIRECTIONS: There are 2 routes you might take to Dunsop Bridge
Route 1 – the shortest but with more wiggly country roads !. . . M6 north to J 31A – follow signs towards Longridge then Whitewell and Dunsop Bridge
Route 2 – slightly longer but straighter ! . . .M6 north to J 31 - follow signs to Clitheroe, Waddington, Newton and Dunsop Bridge

MEET: Royal Arms Car park BB3 0PA (SD 666 215) Free car park to the rear of the pub car park. Toilets by the Car Park. There is additional parking off the road and in front of the Café.
WALK: The walk goes round the Roddlesworth Reservoirs, over the shoulder of Cartridge Hill to Darwen Tower and takes in some beautiful woods and open moors. The paths are generally good. About 600ft of ascent.
DIRECTIONS: From Warrington take the M6 north to the M65. Turn along the M65 towards Blackburn. Take the A675 south towards Bolton. Pass through Abbey Village. About 2 miles on just over the crest of the road take a sharp left turn off the main road on to Tockholes Road and continue to the Royal Arms. About one hour.
